Inlet in flood plain west of Highway 410

Great Expectation
A culvert under the 410-403-401 Interchange that seems longer than it actually is

This drain is in Mississauga, and serves to route a small stream and surrounding flood plain beneath the sprawling 410-403-401 highway junction and east to an outfall into Little Etobicoke Creek. It is mainly significant for a large waterfall chamber beneath the grassy median of the 410 -- no catwalks were provided to permit access between the top and bottom of the fall within the drain, so traversing it requires one to exit through a manhole on one side of the waterfall and re-enter through another lid about fifteen metres away, all this as transport trucks speed past on both sides.
